Superb Sankarabharanam
Rajeswari Satish sang a superb Sankarabharanam alapana for Tyagaraja’s ‘Endukupeddala vale buddieeyavu’ with well executed neraval and swaras at ‘Vedasastratatvarthamutelisi’. Rajeswari has a soft and malleable voice. Her selection of songs was praiseworthy. She showed fine diction while singing ‘Sadachaleswaram’. After a comprehensive alapana in Pantuvarali she sang Mysore Vasudevachar’s ‘ShankariNinne’. The neraval and swarams at ‘PankajakshiNeedu Mahima’ were classy. The sparkling swaras at ‘Manamohanananda’ in Tyagaraja’s ‘KanuluTakani’ met with right answers from the versatile Jayalakshmi.

Satisfying Dharmavathi
‘Bhajana Seya Raada’ of Mysore Vasudevachar was rendered with neraval at ‘NiravadhiSukha’. Both neraval and swaram were impressive.

Pleasant Rendition
Having learnt from the eminent musician C.S. Krishna Iyer, she displayed commendable knowledge. The RTP was in Shanmukhapriya set to Adi tala. The alap was pleasantly rendered covering the entire gamut and she made a sincere bid to sing tanam in the traditional style.
